Aquarius started painting in 1982, moved by a strong desire to create beautiful art. He has studied art in NYC, Barcelona, Venice, Montevideo, Kathmandu among other places (but in all truth, he didn't learn much anywhere because he got bored very quickly, so he does something quite unique). He assembles all the knowledge he has acquired about art, theoretical, empirical and practical, from the hand imprints on the rocks of the caves of Altamira, passing through the sober but fantastic ancient Egyptian, Sumerian, Assyrian, Babylonian styles, and moving through ancient Greek, Roman more rational lines of thought, through the Middle Ages without perspective, and through the Renaissance with perspective and more vibrant colors, through the newly discovered art of the new world since 500 years ago (Mayan, Aztec and Inca in particular), through the Classical period of the 18th and 19th centuries in Europe, until arriving to the 20th century with its unrestrained and ever creative and unlimited artistic possibilities, where seemingly "anything goes", and he mixes it all, helped and enhanced by the Grace of G-od. Japan's art throughout its history has a strong and fascinating influence as well. The rest depends on the creativity and inspiration granted by the muses. The final purpose and artistic objective of all this work is to create beauty​ that brightens the minds and warms the hearts of all who see it.

Pisces began drawing as soon as she started to walk, getting to any and every surface she could reach. Later on, she studied fine art in Frank Sinatra High School in NYC.
